About TechLatch

Meet Mark.
Experience behind the installation.

I’m Mark, the person behind TechLatch. I’ve installed and supported enterprise technology since 1997, working with many vendors across a wide range of industries.

I work across different manufacturers, assessing the equipment you already have and recommending what suits the job. UniFi remains a particular strength, alongside practical experience with other systems, including TP-Link Omada.

Today, I bring that experience to thoughtfully planned installations and practical IT support for businesses and homes.

How I work

Understand it. Plan it. Install it properly.

I start with what you need your technology to do, explain the options and agree the work before we start. You deal with me from the first conversation through to installation and handover.

No unnecessary kit

We keep useful equipment where it makes sense and recommend additions only where they solve a real problem.

Planned before fitting

Wi-Fi, cameras, access and cabling are considered around the building, power, coverage and the way people use it.

Clear handover

Once the work is complete, we explain the controls. Every project includes one year of full support from TechLatch, starting at project sign-off, at no extra cost.

Recent Glasgow project

Designed for the whole working day.

A Glasgow firm of solicitors had a mesh setup that was leaving weak or unreliable coverage across two large offices and their breakout rooms. The brief was not simply “more Wi-Fi”; it was dependable coverage and smooth roaming while staff moved through the space.

Office Wi-Fi deployment

From a mesh patchwork to one properly planned network.

We installed the UniFi gateway and PoE switching, then deployed four customer-supplied U7 Pro access points where they delivered the coverage the offices needed. A fifth access point was kept in reserve rather than fitted simply because it was available.

OutcomeBlanket office coverage designed for fast roaming, without overspecifying the installation.

Residential UniFi project

A connected home. Inside and out.

Ten access points, cameras and integration of existing doors, gates and a garage door. Read how Mark brought Magnus’s property together and continues to support it remotely.

The work behind the services

Help that joins the pieces up.

Some jobs are a simple repair. Others need the connection, devices, power, cabling and security to work together. TechLatch can support the day-to-day issue and plan the bigger improvement when it is worthwhile.

  • Connected technology where the integration has a practical purpose

Tell us what is getting in the way.

Start with the problem, property and location. We will explain whether remote help or a visit is suitable, what the likely work involves and the next sensible step.
